President William Ruto has spoken on the problem at the National Hospital Insurance Fund, stating it was in horrible condition before he entered office.

On Wednesday, at a roundtable session with media outlets, Ruto said he was unable to provide many specifics since the NHIF has so many difficulties that need decisive measures for its restoration.

He said he needed to rethink his approach despite the fact that he had a lot of options at his disposal.
