President William Ruto stopped his speech for three minutes during a ceremony for affordable housing units in Nairobi when a nearby mosque began Islamic prayers.
The audience also observed silence until the prayers ended, and Ruto continued his speech by urging investors to fund the affordable housing projects, which would create job opportunities in different Kenyan counties.
Ruto further stated that the local and affordable housing units would be constructed in nine counties within the next 90 days.
