President Uhuru: “I will handover to Ruto smiling, but Raila is my leader.”

At a meeting of the Azimio Parliamentary Group, outgoing Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said that he would cheerfully hand over power to President-elect William Ruto on Tuesday.

“I will hand over power smiling because it is constitutional. Aluta continua… but I will leave knowing Baba (Raila) is my leader, “You denied yourself an opportunity to bring the country together, You haven’t denied Raila. Msiwekwe Kwa mfuko,” Uhuru Kenyatta said.

At the meeting, the president stressed that it was not helpful to dislike anyone in politics, but he also warned that Kenyans were missing an opportunity to bring the country together.

“You denied yourself an opportunity to bring the country together, You haven’t denied Raila. Msiwekwe Kwa mfuko,” he added.

The swearing-in of the president-elect, William Ruto, will be on Tuesday, October 13th of this month.
