Aisha Jumwa, the Public Service Cabinet Secretary, was robbed on Wednesday, February 15, by armed men who attacked her Loresho residence.
The brave three carried out a well-planned plan to gain entrance to Jumwa’s property. They breached the electric perimeter wall and entered the main residence via the unlocked back door.
The group ransacked the residence and took gold jewelry, laptops, and other accessories. In a bold move, they entered Jumwa’s two daughters’ bedroom and engaged in a scuffle before robbing them of Ksh1.1 million. Three cell phones and other items of undetermined worth were also taken.

According to reports, one of the daughters suffered minor injuries as a result of the altercation. The event happened about 1:45 p.m., when the Public Affairs CS was on duty.
The CS has not released a statement on the event at the time this story was published. According to the police complaint filed under O/B number 3/15/02/2023, the three were equipped with crude weapons and carried out the heist with precision.
The offenders have not been identified, but investigations are underway. Jumwa is a well-known Kenyan public individual who has worked in the government for many years.
Kenyans have expressed fury about the event, with many worried about the safety of public leaders and their families. The tragedy serves as a sharp reminder of the need of security for government employees and their families.
It is anticipated that the culprits will be brought to justice and that steps will be implemented to avoid such instances from occurring in the future.
