Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has called for a mega rally at the Kamkunji grounds in Kenya, where he is expected to speak to his supporters about the alleged conduct of the 2022 General Election. The rally is being organized following the release of a dossier by an IEBC insider, which opposition leaders claim details how the polls were manipulated. The Azimio La Umoja brigade is also expected to attend the rally.

Raila has recently returned to Kenya from South Africa, where he had been attending a series of meetings in his capacity as the African Union’s Special Envoy on Infrastructure. He was received by a number of prominent leaders including Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, Ex-Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, Ex-Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa, Makau Mutua and National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi.

The rally at Kamkunji grounds is being touted as a ‘people’s Baraza’ and will allow Raila to talk about the alleged dossier by an IEBC insider on how the polls were ‘manipulated’. Dennis Onyango, Raila’s spokesman said, “He will discuss recent disclosures by a whistle-blower on the conduct of the 2022 General Election. He appeals to Kenyans to show up in large numbers at the Kamukunji baraza in the interest of the country.”

Raila has urged his supporters to meet him at Kamkunji grounds ahead of the mega rally, organized by Azimio La Umoja leaders. He has called for the rally to give his supporters a ‘way forward’ following the alleged election misconduct.
