During a rally in Migori County, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga announced that he would be issuing directions on boycotting eggs and other products to his supporters in Azimio la Umoja in the coming week.
The boycott is part of a strategy that Raila used in 2018 prior to his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Raila revealed that the companies on the boycott list had participated in overturning the election’s victory and that the list would include companies that cut across food products and media.
Raila also called for his supporters to back his push aimed at holding the government accountable, maintaining that the mass protests scheduled for March 20 were still on.
He used a metaphor of a lady offering herself as a sacrifice to bring rain to her community, stating that he was ready to go for the protest and would be willing to be eaten by a crocodile for it to rain.
