Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio coalition, has called on President William Ruto to reinstate the four dissenting Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners with their full benefits.
During an interview on KTN, Raila stated that the four commissioners were condemned before their terms had ended and that the appointment of the next electoral commission should be the result of stakeholder negotiations rather than being determined by one side.
Cherera, Nyang’aya, and Wanderi resigned after being suspended and following the formation of a tribunal to investigate their conduct in the August 9 General Election.

Masit, who maintained her innocence regarding the allegations against her, was the only one who did not resign.
However, on Monday, the Justice Aggrey Muchelule tribunal recommended her removal from office, stating that the accusations against her and her fellow commissioners had been proven.
