    Raila Odinga joins Ruto at COP27 in Egypt.

    Raila Odinga, leader of the Azimio party, left for Egypt on November 7 to attend COP27, the United Nations Conference on Climate Change 2022.

    “Raila Odinga has reportedly left the country and will be attending the summit in Egypt as a member of the African Union.” Reads statement from the ODM.

    On Monday morning, Raila Odinga boarded a flight to Cairo, Egypt to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference. This year’s conference is the 27th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change.

    “In addition to the meeting with world leaders like Rwanda’s Paul Kagame, President William Ruto is planning on having bilateral conversations with other heads of state throughout the world.” Stated the StateHouse Spokesman Hussein Mohammed 

    Anne Waiguru, governor of Kirinyaga, and Alfred Mutua, minister of international affairs, Soipan Tuya, cabinet secretary for the environment, and Soipan Tuya, cabinet secretary for energy, accompanied President Ruto.

    Raila Odinga and Ruto have not met in person since the General Election on August 9, although they have exchanged sharp words over the country’s economic situation. To get what he promised Kenya during the campaign, Raila has kept the pressure on Ruto.
