Raila Odinga refutes claims of nusu mkate arrangement with President Ruto

Date:

During an interview on KTN Tuesday night, Raila Odinga, the leader of the ODM party, denied seeking a reconciliation with President William Ruto through emissaries.

Raila stated that Ruto had not sent any representatives to him either.

The former Prime Minister refuted claims made by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that the Azimio coalition was looking for a nusu mkate arrangement, stating that the only time he had agreed to power-sharing was in 2008 after international mediation.

Raila dismissed the notion, saying that his party had not been in government since then and that it was all “useless propaganda.”
