Raila Odinga, leader of the opposition, has claimed that President William Ruto is seeking revenge against the Luo people because they overwhelmingly supported Raila in the recent election.
Rai stated that the Luos, like all other Kenyan communities, are entitled to government previllages because they contribute to the economy by paying taxes and should be given the same opportunities as other Kenyans.
“We want equality in this country, and you can’t exclude the Luo people from government just because they didn’t vote for you; they contribute to the economy just like everyone else.”
Raila’s criticism comes shortly after the President nominated two members of the nyanza community to serve as PS in his government: Raymond Omollo (Interior and National Administration) and Alfred K’Ombudo (State department for Trade).
Raila has claimed that the election on August 9 was a shambles, and he has promised to shock Kenyans with the details of how Ruto was able to steal his victory.
“It won’t be long before I reveals the next step to follow” he promised.
