Ruto and Germany Team Up to Hire more than 300,000 Youths

The new agreement between the Kenyan government and Germany to reduce youth unemployment is expected to help more than 300,000 young people aged 18 to 35 in Kenya.

On Tuesday, November 15, at the second cabinet meeting at State House, President William Ruto made the news.

Notably, the initiative intends to reach 250,000 young business owners around the nation by providing them with access to marketing campaigns, websites, and call-ins to a central hub.

The comprehensive screening services, which include coaching, mentoring, and career assistance, will be made available to an extra 100,000 young entrepreneurs.

As a result, the government set up the Centre of Entrepreneurship to help micro and small businesses find their footing so that they could hire more people.

Within Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) is where the facility will be situated. The bulk of the population is comprised of young people, and employing them will lead to economic growth.

It is anticipated that the initiative would result in the creation of 50,000 new direct and indirect employment for young people.

Initiated by the government, the partnership’s stated goal is to increase the country’s industrial output and worldwide competitiveness.
