Saturday saw the arrival of President William Ruto in Uganda for the nation’s Independence Day festivities.

Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda, personally welcomed him upon his arrival.

The nation will mark its 60th independence anniversary on Sunday.

The President is scheduled to meet with his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni, during his time in Uganda.

One of the topics that will be covered at the meeting is Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s utterances, which looked to provoke a diplomatic quarrel between Kenya and Uganda.

The statements made by Muhoozi Kainerugaba sparked a heated debate on various social media platforms in Kenya and Uganda, which ultimately resulted in Museveni issuing an apology.

Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Nominee Alfred Mutua was also in attendance along with First Lady Rachael Ruto and other officials.
