During his speech to a joint session of the two houses that make up the Kenyan Parliament on Thursday, September 29, President William Ruto maintained that his administration was working to expand programs that provide Kenyans with affordable housing by offering Kenyans cheaper land deals.

In order to further his housing program, President William Ruto has pledged to make inexpensive land available to both public and private developers.

In his first speech to Parliament, Ruto also said that his government will finance the developers working on his housing program in massive quantities.

The president said that his proposals will help solve the chronic problem of overcrowding in major cities like Nairobi and Mombasa.
