On Friday, Kenyan Defense Forces Day, will be celebrated at Laikipia Airbase, and President William Ruto will be there to mark the occasion.
Since he was sworn into office on September 13, 2022, this will be his first official military engagement.
Ruto serves as the Head of State and Chief of the Defense Forces.
In addition, on October 14, the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) will commemorate 11 years since its founding.
Since October 2012, when Operation Linda Nchi was officially launched, this particular day has been celebrated annually.
