    Safaricom discounts Fuliza fees

    Published on

On Saturday, October 1st, Safaricom will begin offering a reduction of up to 40% on the daily fees paid for its overdraft lending services – Fuliza.

Withdrawals between Ksh1 and Ksh100 were unaffected.

The new policy reduces the daily price for loans between Sh101 and Sh500 from Sh5 to Sh3.

Fees for overdrafts between Sh501 and Sh1,000 have been reduced from Sh10 per day to Sh6.

In addition, Fuliza said that the daily costs for overdrafts of less than Sh1,000 would be waived for the first three days.

The overdraft fee for people borrowing between Sh1,001 and Sh1,500 would be reduced by Sh2 per day, from Sh20, thanks to the new maximum of Sh70,000. There will be a 10% price reduction for this.

Users with monthly subscriptions between Sh1,501 and Sh2,500 would pay Sh20 per day, a 20% reduction from the previous rate of Sh25.

Overdraft fees will be reduced by 16.7 percent for those who overdraw between Sh2,501 and Sh70,000. As a result, the new daily charge for consumers would be Sh25, a reduction of Sh10 from the original daily fee.
