Sakaja: Uhuru Park will open in December 2022 with free entrance.

    Published on

The governor of Nairobi, Johnson Sakaja, has made the announcement that Uhuru Park and Central Park would be open to the public as of December 2022.

The Nairobi city administrator assured the public on Tuesday, September 27 that the public opening of the two parks would provide citizens access to the modern amenities that had been built into the historical recreation areas.

The launch will take place at the same time as the start of the Annual Nairobi Street Festival, which aims to provide financial assistance to local entrepreneurs and artists.

Further, he disputed rumors that locals would have to pay to enter any of the parks. Sakaja has stated that there would not be any fees required to enter.
