Seven well known Kenyans were identified by the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) for their roles in distributing false information on social media sites before to and during the August 9 elections.

Nairobi senator-elect Edwin Sifuna, Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi, digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, Dikembe Disembe, Mac Otani (journalist), Kileleshwa MCA-elect Robert Alai, and lawyer Miguna Miguna are among those who have been accused of distributing false information.

As far as MCK is concerned, the seven lied to the public about the just finished General Election.

Also, MCK said that Moses Kuria, the departing MP for Gatundu South, was called in by the DCI for questioning on a post he made on social media.
