Corporal Mark Mulanda, a junior police officer at Lang’ata police station in Nairobi, killed his girlfriend and his colleague’s wife before committing suicide.
Fiona Chepkoech was shot twice after she came out of her house upon hearing a commotion from Mulanda’s house.

Rhoda Machuma Chepchumba, his girlfriend, was shot multiple times.
Mulanda had night duties in the area, and police suspect he had planned the murder-suicide.
Langata sub-county police commander Monica Kimani said the motive is yet to be established.
The incident could be linked to the increasing cases of suicide within the police force, which officials attribute to trauma.
