Tragic End for Thika Businessman James Mwangi: Shot Dead in His Own Driveway

Date:

“Shot Dead in His Own Compound”

It was a sad day for the Mwangi family, as James Mwangi, a successful businessman, was shot dead in his own compound. According to Thika West Police Commander Daniel Kinyua, the victim was accosted by two hooded men as he alighted from his car. The attackers, who were riding on a motorbike, followed him to his home in Kimathi Estate. The victim was shot in the chest and right leg, leaving him lifeless on the ground.

“The Search for Answers”

The police have launched a full-fledged investigation into the murder. Kinyua stated that the attack appears to have been well-planned and the express goal was to kill James. The police are now exploring the possible motives and are trying to piece together the last moments of the victim’s life. The police have started interrogating his family, friends, workmates, and business partners in a bid to find out more about the tragic event.

The police are also investigating the CCTV cameras mounted around the area and on the highway leading to the home, hoping to find the identity of the attackers. James’ wife was inside the house at the time of the attack, but she did not see the attackers.

The Kiambu Business Community has appealed to law enforcement officers to expedite the probe into the murder of James. James was a successful trader who specialized in selling vehicles and had set up other small ventures in Thika. The police are still searching for answers, and the community hopes that justice will be served for James and his family.
