Hellen Wendy’s younger brother Enock Nyabuto set up a GoFundMe page three days after her death, and within that time, enough money was raised to bring her remains from Toronto, Canada, to Kenya.
After his sister’s untimely death in a Canadian swimming pool on Thursday, August 17, Enock said he set up the site to raise money to transport her remains home Kisii, Kenya.
Enock estimates that transporting the corpse of the dead would cost about Ksh6 million.
On the platform, Enock praised Wendy for her infectious grin, engaging personality, and boundless energy.
For his parting words, Enock expressed gratitude for the support shown to the family at this difficult time of losing the eldest child.
