What to do if your SIM card has been deactivated

    Published on

Sim cards of thousands of Kenyans were temporarily disabled when the registration deadline passed without them being registered.

The affected Kenyans were reportedly informed through text message to visit their respective local SIM card shops to get their deactivated connections restored.

Dear customer, your line has been suspended pending a registration update. Visit the nearest mobile operator’s shop to update your ID.

This is a message from a user whose SIM card has been deactivated.

Before a subscriber’s line can be reactivated, they must provide their identification card.
