William Ruto: CDF is Here to Stay

President-elect William Ruto has told elected Members of Parliament that the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) will not be canceled.

On Wednesday, September 7th, during a Parliamentary Group meeting with Kenyan and Kwanza leaders, Ruto stated that the CDF for MPs will be maintained.

“We know the legislation that was taken to court is old,” he said.

“ I know we believe in the rule of law, the legislative that was taken to court is old. It is not the legislation that currently is the basis on which is CDF is going on.” he added.

The President-elect talked more about how important CDF is to members of Parliament. He talked about how he was a member of Parliament before and after the fund was put in place. He said that the fund was a game-changer.

“ The difference is immense, I know how important CDF is. It is one of the funds whose impact can be seen in any part of Kenya,” Ruto stated
