Woman in Viral Video Confronting Police Officer Over Bribery Arrested by Authorities

Date:

A lady seen on video blasting a police officer over bribery claims in a Nairobi City residential neighborhood drew the attention of Kenyans online.

The officer and the lady engaged in a yelling march after the woman said she couldn’t pay the officer any money.

The audacious dealer said that the officer had developed a practice of collecting bribes despite the fact that she possessed all of the necessary licenses to operate her business.

“For a long time, you have taken advantage of me. Who do you believe you are? I’m not going to give you any money “In the video, the lady can be heard.

As the argument heated up, so did the trader’s voice, to the point that she started yelling and whistling, much to the delight of the onlookers.

As the woman displayed her documents in the air, the police officer was seen fleeing to his truck.

The incident happened in the Ngara region of Nairobi County, according to National Police Spokesperson Resila Atieno Onyango.

She also stated that the woman was apprehended by investigators after the event.

According to the spokesman, the woman ran a bar within a liquor shop but was only permitted to sell booze, and she will be sent to court to face the allegations.

When questioned if the bribery claims were true or not, Onyango said that they would have to be proved in court.

The video sparked an online discussion over the lady’s behavior toward the police officer, with some condemning her actions and others pointing out that she would have handled the situation differently.
