Yoweri Museveni: Uganda owns large tracts of land in Naivasha and Mombasa.

    Published on

On October 16th, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni declared that Uganda owns large tracts of land in the counties of Nakuru and Mombasa.

President Museveni said in an interview with KTN News that former president Uhuru Kenyatta had gifted them land in Naivasha for the purpose of building a dry port for Uganda.

Another plot of land in Mombasa was given to them as a gift to facilitate commerce within the coastal region.

Yes, we have land in both Mombasa and Naivasha. I don’t have the details, but I know we do. It’s fantastic because coastal areas can generate a lot of money from the hinterland, so you can produce and transfer products through there while paying taxes, and there’s mutual gain.

    He remarked.
